I have been a licensed massage therapist for fifteen years in the state of New York. I studied massage at New York College of Holistic Health in Syosset, NY.  It’s one of the most gratifying modalities I do because it allows me to not only help people feel “good” it allows me the opportunity to help people feel better from muscular issues that hinder their everyday lives.  I believe in educating clients regarding their body, helping explain why they may have aches and pains in their areas of complaint. I have worked under the guide of many Medical Doctors, Chiropractors, and Physical Therapists that have shown me techniques and explained common issues and injuries.

Most people look for massage for relaxation, which is wonderful, others come for help to relieve pain. I believe people should be massaged for overall health and to balance the body.

Implementing a Traditional Chinese medical perspective, technique and philosophy allows me to address the patient in ways that Western medicine may not (given the state of our current “healthcare” system).

I keep my patients in a spotlight as the answer to their own disharmony, disorder, or disease.  The body can heal itself if given the change! This perspective makes clear that both the patient and I need to cooperate on many levels to bring the reality of healing to the forefront.

The relationship between myself and the patient is powerful and this contributes to the healing process.  I strongly believe the only goal that needs to exist is the patient’s vision of an ideal state of Well Being and the practitioner’s ability to bring that sense of Being into harmony with their goal.

Together, we are the Alternative to Pain!
