Injection Therapy

The goal of injection therapy is to put an end to your pain and suffering. At Spine And Sports Rehabilitation Pain Management, we offer a variety of therapeutic injections that can help treat your specific symptoms and relieve your pain. We offer therapeutic injections such as:

Facet Steroid Injections

A facet steroid injection is a minimally invasive procedure where an anti-inflammatory steroid is injected into the facet joint. The facet joint can become inflamed due to a variety of chronic conditions and can, therefore, cause pain and discomfort. This is known as facet joint syndrome. Facet steroid injections usually have two goals: to help diagnose the location and cause of the pain and to alleviate pain.

Joint Injections

Joint injections are the injection of a steroid or medication into a joint. A joint is any place where two bones move against each other and are surrounded by a joint capsule. Those who suffer pain in a specific joint or those who are undergoing an arthritis care plan can benefit from joint injections.

Trigger Point Injections

Trigger point injections are used on areas of muscle that contain trigger points that cannot be released from above the skin. These injections are used to treat irritated nerves and reduce pain around the body. Our office offers trigger point injections with lidocaine and sarapin.

Prolotherapy

Prolotherapy is a nonsurgical treatment for muscle and joint pain. This procedure stimulates the body’s healing by repairing connective tissues and injured, painful joints. That means it enacts the body’s own natural healing mechanisms to repair these injuries. This procedure is also known as a regenerative joint injection or nonsurgical ligament and tendon reconstruction

Platelet-Rich Plasma

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections are nonsurgical solutions for conditions such as arthritis and ligament/tendon injuries. The most common areas for treatment are the knee, back, hip, shoulder, and spine. Since the patient is using a portion of their own blood for the procedure, the side effects are extremely mild. This treatment is also proven to help patients heal faster as opposed to using other treatments.

Orthovisc and Steroid Injections

These steroid injections deliver relief directly to the source of pain and are considered safe for almost all patients. This series of injections will take place for approximately a month of treatment. Steroid injections can be used to treat joint and muscle injuries as well as nerve damage resulting from these injuries.

Ultrasound-Guided Injections

An ultrasound-guided injection allows doctors to precisely find the exact location of pain that may otherwise be impossible to find. Areas that can be treated by ultrasound-guided injections include cysts, nerves, tendons, and fluid collections. These injections are beneficial for doctors to avoid painful and dangerous areas as well as treat a specific area.
